Planting a church is an incredible journey that requires faith, commitment, and a heart for people. As a launch team member, you are volunteering, but most importantly, you are helping to lay the foundation for a church that will transform lives and impact the community for generations.
1. Commitment: Calling to serve with consistency and dedication.
2. Heart for People and Community: Committed to loving people well, both inside and outside the church. We value presence over perfection, and we seek to reflect Jesus in how we care, listen, and show up for others. Our heart beats for the community God has called us to.
3. Commitment to Biblical Justice: We are called to reflect the heart of God by standing for justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly (Micah 6:8). This means serving with compassion, advocating for the oppressed, and creating a church where all people can experience the love of Christ.
4. Willingness to Be a Disciple of Jesus: Discipleship is about continually growing, surrendering, and becoming more like Christ in how we live, lead, and love. Core team members don’t have to be perfect, but they do need to be teachable, accountable, and hungry to walk closely with Jesus. They MUST be a member of a CAM group.
5. Openness to Learning and Serving: Flexibility and humility are essential. We’re building something new, which means we’re all learning as we go. Core team members are willing to grow, try new things, and step in wherever needed. We serve with open hands and open hearts.
6.Faith and Prayer: Church planting requires a foundation that can’t be built by strategy alone; it must be built on faith and prayer. Core team members are committed to believing God for the impossible and making prayer a regular rhythm, both personally and collectively. We pray first, trust deeply, and move forward not by our own strength, but by the Spirit’s leading.
7. Team Mentality: We’re one body with one mission. Core team members show up with unity, humility. That means celebrating each other’s wins, carrying the load together, and staying committed even when it’s hard. No role is too small, and no voice is unimportant.
