Grace For The Rejected

Sometimes the one who received grace forgets how to give it.

In this stand alone sermon, we looked at the story of Barnabas, Paul, and John Mark. When Paul and Barnabas split before their second missionary journey, it wasn’t over doctrine, it was over disagreement. Paul couldn’t see past John Mark’s past failure, but Barnabas did. The same Barnabas who once stood up for Paul when no one else would, now stands up for John Mark. Grace chose Mark. And while Paul was a giant of the faith, even he needed reminding: grace isn't just for receiving, it's for giving too.
