Come Down, Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus was recognized by everyone but rarely embraced.  As a tax collector, he had significant wealth but lacked his peers' respect.  His reputation had created a vast distance between him and his neighbors.  However, while traveling through Jericho, Jesus paused, looked up, addressed Zacchaeus by name, and invited Himself to share a meal at his home. Encountering the Savior transformed his soul, his resources, his community, and the way he engaged with the world.  This message testifies that Jesus notices those who are ignored, chooses those who are cast aside, and delivers a life transformed in the most unlikely circumstances.
